PictureSnapApp: Easy and Intuitive Sample Navigation
PictureSnapApp provides easy and accurate sample navigation on a single instrument which can be transferred to any other instrument for quickly re-locating areas of interest.
Two versions of PictureSnapApp are available: a free version using “text input” mode, which work on any instrument stage and a purchased version that automatically connects to your JEOL/FEI/Cameca instrument stage and scanning hardware.
PictureSnapApp Features
Utilize PictureSnapApp on *any* instrument stage, e.g., EPMA, SEM, SIMS, LA-ICPMS, AFM, etc…
- Import images from any source: slide scanner, flat-bed scanner, optical microscope, SEM electron image, cell phone camera, etc.
- Once your image is calibrated, simply double-click the image to drive the stage to the exact sample location.
- Create unlimited point and field of view (FOV) annotations, all are automatically saved.
- Embed multiple sub-images anywhere on your base image all precisely located.
- Quickly and easily transfer stage calibrated images from one instrument to another with a quick re-calibration which allows you to navigate your sample annotations and embedded images on other instruments.
- PictureSnapApp interfaces to FEI/JEOL/Cameca stage hardware, and utilizes an easy text input mode for other instruments.
- See your sample in true color as you navigate using the optical image as a “base map”.
- Calibrate using two reference points (or three to correct for sample rotation automatically!)
- All sample annotations with stage coordinates are automatically saved and can be exported to or imported from external files.
